What a real estate agent's website must show in Georgia
Georgia puts the firm first: every advertisement must carry the firm's registered name and phone number, shown at least as large and as often as any agent's name, and every viewable page of a website must display them. Out-of-date information has to come down within thirty days. Agents may not advertise under their own name apart from the firm.

Does a website count as advertising in Georgia?
The rule has a section devoted to internet advertising, and treats every viewable web page as an advertisement. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
What every advertisement must show
The firm's registered name and telephone number, on all advertising. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
The firm's name in equal or greater size, prominence and frequency than the name of any affiliated licensee. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
“firm's name shall appear in equal or greater size, prominence, and frequency than the name or names of any affiliated licensees”
Websites specifically
Every viewable web page must display the firm's name and telephone number. Where a platform limits characters, the page must give a direct link to a display that complies. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
“the name and telephone number of the licensee's firm”
Outdated information must be updated or removed from the website within thirty days. If a third party maintains the site, the licensee must give timely written notice of any updates to outdated information. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Team names
Associate brokers and salespersons may not advertise under their individual names. All advertising is done under the broker's direct supervision and in the name of the firm — which is also why the firm's name must be at least as prominent as yours. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
What gets agents in trouble
Misleading or inaccurate advertising. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Advertising that discriminates by race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Advertising your own property without disclosing that you hold a license, either with the required legend or your Georgia license number. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Worth knowing
A license number is required in one case: when you advertise property you own or have an interest in, the ad must carry the legend that the seller, buyer, landlord or tenant holds a real estate license, or your Georgia Real Estate License number ("GA R. E. Lic." is an accepted abbreviation). Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Dates: the current rule was filed 7 April 2014 and took effect 1 May 2014. Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 520-1-.09
Every SiteCurb site has a broker-disclosure footer on every page: your name, your brokerage, your license number, and the disclosure text your state expects, next to your contact details and never in smaller type than the rest of the footer. Fill it in once and it is on every page, including listings.
How many agents this applies to
12,574 real estate agents were working in Georgia when we last counted, across 76brokerage offices. That is agents with a live profile on a brokerage's own site, not everyone holding a licence, so it is the population these rules actually bind day to day. The Georgia brokerage directory breaks it down office by office. Counted 2026-09-13.

Questions people ask
Can my name be bigger than the firm's name on my website?
No. The firm's name must be equal or greater in size, prominence and frequency. Put the firm's name and phone number in the header or footer of every page at the same size as your own name.
What does "every viewable web page" mean for a listing page?
Each listing page, search page and about page needs the firm's name and phone number visible. A site-wide footer satisfies it on every page at once.
What about a sold listing I never took down?
Outdated information must be updated or removed within thirty days. Mark it sold or remove it.
