What a real estate agent's website must show in Arizona

Arizona's rule is short and centred on one thing: the employing broker's legal name, or the DBA on the broker's license certificate, must appear in a clear and prominent manner on your advertising. The rule says outright that a website or other electronic medium aimed at Arizona residents is advertising. Advertise your own property and the ad must say "owner/agent".

Team names

Each (TRADE NAME or FRANCHISE) office is independently owned and operated

Worth knowing

How SiteCurb handles this

Every SiteCurb site has a broker-disclosure footer on every page: your name, your brokerage, your license number, and the disclosure text your state expects, next to your contact details and never in smaller type than the rest of the footer. Fill it in once and it is on every page, including listings.

How many agents this applies to

14,167 real estate agents were working in Arizona when we last counted, across 66brokerage offices. That is agents with a live profile on a brokerage's own site, not everyone holding a licence, so it is the population these rules actually bind day to day. The Arizona brokerage directory breaks it down office by office. Counted 2026-09-13.

Not legal advice. When a rule and this page disagree, the rule wins; when in doubt, ask your broker or the ADRE.

Questions people ask

Does my broker's name need to be on every page of the site?

The rule asks for the employing broker's name in a clear and prominent manner on the advertising; the plainest way to satisfy that for a website is a header or footer on every page. SiteCurb's disclosure footer does that by default.

Can I use my brokerage's DBA instead of its legal name?

Yes, if it is the DBA shown on the employing broker's license certificate.

I'm selling my own house through my site. Anything special?

Add "owner/agent" to the listing. The rule requires it whenever a licensee advertises property they own.
