What a real estate agent's website must show in Alabama

Alabama's advertising rule is in the license law. A salesperson or associate broker advertising as a real estate agent must show the name or trade name of their qualifying broker or company prominently, and "prominently" is defined: in a font at least as large as any other name, text or logo in the ad (terms like "for sale" excepted), placed and sized to catch the consumer's attention. Since 2025 a team's advertising must also name at least one team member and the company, include "team" or "group" in the team name, and have the qualifying broker's written authorization.

How SiteCurb handles this

Every SiteCurb site has a broker-disclosure footer on every page, listings included: your name, your brokerage and your license number, plus a disclosure field for the text and links your state requires (Texas agents get a one-click helper for the two TREC links). Fill it in once and it is on every page.

How many agents this applies to

1,937 real estate agents were working in Alabama when we last counted, across 17 brokerage offices. That is agents with a live profile on a brokerage's own site, not everyone holding a licence, so it is the population these rules actually bind day to day. The Alabama brokerage directory breaks it down office by office. Counted 2026-10-07.

Not legal advice. When a rule and this page disagree, the rule wins; when in doubt, ask your broker or the Commission.
