Canva for realtors in 2026
Agents already live in Canva for flyers and Instagram, so 'can I just build my website there too?' is a fair question. Here is what Canva's website builder gives you, what it withholds until you pay, and what it cannot do at all, read from Canva's own help center on 6 September 2026.

What Canva websites are
A Canva website is a Canva design published to the web: a scrolling page, or several pages, with the same drag-and-drop editor you use for a listing flyer. Canva's pitch is "Publish in moments, not months", and that is true. Every published site gets HTTPS, and you can add multiple pages, a title and favicon, search-engine descriptions and password protection.
What it costs
| Plan | Price (US, yearly) | Website address | Footer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Canva Free | $0 | yourname.my.canva.site (up to 5 live sites) | "Designed with Canva", cannot be removed |
| Canva Pro | $180 / year | Your own domain (connect up to 5) or one bought through Canva | None |
| Canva Business | $250 / year per person | Same as Pro, with team admin | None |
Two lines from Canva's help center, read 6 September 2026, settle the free-versus-paid question. On the free plan: "a 'Designed with Canva' footer will appear at the bottom of your published website... To publish without the footer, upgrade to Canva Pro." And on domains: connecting your own "is available to Canva Pro, Canva Teams, Canva Business, and Canva Education users." A domain bought through Canva is a Tucows registration billed annually on top of the plan, and verification of any domain "can take up to 72 hours."
So the realistic Canva agent site costs $180 a year plus a domain, or $15 a month. That is genuinely cheap, and you probably already pay it for the design tools.
What it cannot do
- Listings. There is no listing object. A property is a section you design: photos, a price you type, a status you type. When it sells you edit the design and republish. Ten listings is ten hand-built sections; a sold one is a chore you will skip.
- Enquiries per listing. Canva forms are general. A buyer asking about one property cannot be routed with that property attached.
- IDX or MLS. None, and no app market to add it. If MLS search is the job, Canva is the wrong tool; if it is not, read IDX explained before paying anyone for it.
- Compliance by default. Your state wants your brokerage name, and in some states your license type or number, on every page. On Canva you draw it into the footer yourself and make sure it survives every redesign. The rules are in our state-by-state guide.
- Speed and structure. A published design is an image-heavy page, not a site with a heading structure and listing pages Google can index one by one.
Where Canva fits
Canva is the right tool for everything around the website: listing flyers, open-house signs, the Instagram carousel, the just-sold post, your headshot crop. It is a fine one-page landing site for a single listing or an event. It is a weak home for an agent's permanent website, because a website's job is to hold your inventory and your credentials in a form that updates without redesigning.
SiteCurb is that form: your listings as records with photos, price and status, your bio and reviews as fields, an enquiry form on every listing that emails you, and a disclosure footer for your state, on your own domain, for $39 a month. Build it free, keep Canva for the flyers.

Questions people ask
Is Canva's website builder free for realtors?
Publishing is free, on a canva.site address, with a 'Designed with Canva' footer you cannot remove on the free plan. Using your own domain, or removing the footer, needs Canva Pro at $180 a year in the US, or a domain bought through Canva, which is billed annually on top.
Can I put my own domain on a Canva website?
Yes on Canva Pro, Teams, Business or Education, up to five domains, and verification can take up to 72 hours. Free users cannot connect a domain they own.
Can I show listings on a Canva website?
Only as designed pages. Canva has no listing model: no price, status, bedrooms or sold flag, no per-listing enquiry form, no automatic listing pages. Each property is a page or section you lay out by hand and rebuild when it sells.
Does Canva have IDX or MLS search?
No, and there is no app market to add it. Canva websites are published designs, not a platform you can extend with an MLS feed.
Is a Canva site good enough for my state's advertising rules?
It can be, if you put your brokerage name and the details your state requires on every page yourself and keep them there through every redesign. Nothing in Canva does it for you. See the state-by-state rules guide.
What does SiteCurb do that Canva does not?
A listings model with photos, price and status, per-listing enquiry forms that email you, your bio and reviews in structured fields, a disclosure footer for your state, and your own domain, for $39 a month with no design work. Canva remains the better tool for the flyers and social posts around it.
